REVIEW: Cutey Bracelets

Cutey, jewelry making company from the UK, contacted me a few months back to ask if I wanted to try out some of their charm bracelets. And of course I said yes because I live for all things pretty in this world! :)

The quality of these pieces are amazing. And the design is also something that got my attention. The structure of these bracelets (especially Philotes) is something that is unfamiliar to me. Learn more about these arm candies after the jump!

Tips & Tricks: Stretch Bracelet Tutorial

This was a tutorial I made over a year ago...but I didn't have the chance to post it on this blog. Anyhoo, here it is! One of the first few DIY projects I will be making and sharing to all of you! Enjoy and don't hesitate to ask questions or drop thoughts on the comment section below. :D

Stretch bracelets are very versatile and easy to wear and perhaps the easiest to make. But over time, the stretch cord will break or loosen because doing a random knot to secure the piece will just not do it. Learn how to properly tie an elastic or nylon to make your stretch bracelets last longer!

For this project, gather the following materials: Stretch Cord/Elastic/Nylon, Scissors, Colorful Beads, Bails, Charms and Jumprings.

Goodbye my loves! This is extremely hard for me, but I know I'm making the right choice. I mean if I wouldn't let all these materials go I'd be suffering the whole trip to Cebu!

Ah, yes. The inevitable has arrived. I'll be taking the CE Licensure Exam come November and this June, I'll be travelling to Cebu to attend a review to prepare for it. :D This is crazy! I'm nervous already. But anyhoo, I know I couldn't possibly take all my babies with me. So here it is, AN UBER HUGE DESTASH of my beloved charms, beads, cameos, settings and what not!

Weekend Escapade!

Where was I last weekend? :D  May 18-20, 2012 marked our family's 25th GRAND REUNION. My Mama and her brothers and sisters celebrated the most important people in their lives who are, Idion Cloma and Saling Namata, their parents. :) Let me take you to Pana-on, Ozamis City, where it all happened!

Well, this was a graduation gift from my sister. Everyone in the family knows I love to write and doodle. Mostly doodle. When I decided to go back to journaling a few weeks back I thought of buying one but because I saw this lying in a lonely corner, I decided to use this instead.

Show and Tell: New Charm Bracelets

I have been on a hiatus for a month, and going back to beading was not as easy as I thought. Before, I used to make five bracelets in one night! But last month was a completely different story. I spent around an hour playing around with the material, redesigning bracelets over and over again and basically, I just couldn't make up my mind.

Good thing I chose to sleep it off and when morning came, I was able to create my first ever charm bracelet since downtime. And much to my surprise, I was easily able to make two others for my new collection. :)

Blast from the Past!

Let's take a break from jewelry! Tada! My very own memorabilia box. I know right? I am such a sentimental fool! :D I was fond of scrapbooking back then. However, I wanted to collect IDs, tokens, invites, and other items that just won't work on the limited space of a scrapbook. Plus, I want to preserve their original state. I wanted to hold them as well. So...I bought this cute box for Php 80.00 (the price tag was still on) 7 years ago. And here I am looking into what I have added through the years.

Show and Tell: Handcuff Short Necklace

Not an original design at all. But, I can't help but make my own version of the dainty handcuff necklace because..well..it's cute! Here are some pictures of the Handcuff Short Necklace which I recently added to my shops' inventory.

Making this necklace was relatively easy. The design is simple plus I had this in my mind since forever! I tell you, this particular design has haunted me in my dreams! *wink* It took me quite a while to find these charms, but when I did..BOOM! Got a few pieces and made them into necklaces. :)

Show and Tell: A Writer's Charm Dangles

Do you know Phil from Wongfu Productions? Well, he's the reason why I started journaling again. This post definitely left an impression on me. I used to do this everyday and it made me feel good. But when college started, I kind of drifted away from writing. Don't get me wrong, blogging is one of the best things I have ever done! However, I feel like there are some stories that need to be kept to myself.

Inspiration comes in the most unexpected places and who would have thought me getting back to journaling sparked the creation of this piece: A Writer's Charm Dangles. I planned a TOTALLY DIFFERENT design for this earrings but things really didn't turn out right with what I initially had in mind. :D

djaDesigns Shoot. (4/21/12)

Lovely photos coming your way! :) Ahh! I absolutely adore how the pictures turned out. It's something I have been meaning to achieve with my *horrible* point and shoot photos with Photoshop. Saturated and almost a finish with most of the colors "washed off". Sorry, NOT a photographer here. If you know the exact term please let me know.
